Common questions
How do I look up text?
On iOS, point the camera at Japanese text or import a screenshot. On Mac, select a screen region. Kiratoru recognizes the text and you can tap any word for a definition.
Live lookup isn't working.
Live, real-time lookup is a Pro feature. On the free tier you use the manual refresh button. Make sure you've granted camera (iOS) or screen-recording (Mac) permission in System Settings.
How do I restore my purchase?
Open the app's subscription screen and tap “Restore Purchases.” Purchases are tied to your Apple account and restore on any device signed in with it.
How do I export my saved words?
From the Saved view you can export a CSV to import into Anki, Quizlet, or other flashcard apps.
